Fertility yoga addresses the specific needs of women who are planning or currently trying to conceive, women struggling to conceive for the first time or with subsequent pregnancies (including after a miscarriage) and women undergoing fertility treatment or IVF.
Fertility yoga is also appropriate for women who have just conceived up until 14 weeks of pregnancy, when the placenta has become fully functional and the risks of miscarriage are considerably lower.
Benefits of yoga for fertility
Many fertility experts now recommend a holistic, mind-body approach to fertility. They talk about how achieving both emotional and physical well-being and a stronger connection between body and mind, can have a positive influence on your chances of conception.
Eliminating unnecessary stress, allowing the body and mind to rest, and maintaining a relaxed and optimistic mindset during what can be a very stressful time, is very important when trying to conceive, and this is a key way fertility yoga can help you.
Of course, I cannot guarantee that practising fertility yoga will result in a pregnancy. However, our practices will be worth doing in their own right, as they will support your physical and emotional well-being whatever the outcomes.
What to expect
I offer fertility yoga as private one-to-one sessions in the comfort of your own home, to best suit your life and needs.
Sessions will be entirely tailored to your current situation, for example, where you are at in your menstrual cycle, any known fertility issues, or the current phase of fertility treatment you might be undergoing.
We’ll work through a range of practices, including:
- yoga postures and flowing sequences to support the endocrine system and optimize blood flow to the pelvic region
restorative yoga postures to nourish yourself and allow the body to deeply rest
- breathing techniques to calm and reconnect body and mind
- guided visualisations
- positive affirmations
- deep relaxation practices
No previous yoga experience is required. All equipment provided.
Private classes are available as a single class (perfect for a taster class), package of 3 classes or package of 6 classes.
Although I am confident that you will enjoy some immediate effects on your overall well-being and relaxation levels from our first session together, fertility yoga is most effective when practiced regularly – ideally twice a week – over a period of time (ideally 3 months or more). This is why I recommend you complete a set of 6 classes or more, which will also help you develop your own home practice, to practice in between sessions and/or once you feel confident practising on your own.
There is however no obligation to do so, and you can sign up for as few or as many classes as you wish.

- All packages include a complimentary 30mn consultation (by phone or in person, before your session) to discuss your situation and needs.
- All equipment provided unless you prefer to use your own.
- Sessions are also available remotely via Zoom.
